Nomination Papers Available Mon. 5/11 in Elections Department

Residents in the City of Somerville who are interested in seeking elected office are encouraged to take out nomination papers beginning Monday, May 11th for the Office of Mayor, Alderman at Large, Aldermen, and School Committee.

Nomination papers will be available at the Elections Department in the lower level of City Hall at 93 Highland Avenue during regular hours. (Mon-Wed 8:30a-4:30p, Thu 8:30a-7:30p, Fri 8:30a-12:30p).

LGBTQ Flag Raising 5/27 on SHS Concourse

Please join Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone and
the Somerville High School Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) on Wed., May 27,
at 2:45 p.m. to raise the Pride flag in honor of LGBTQ Pride Month and
LGBTQ Youth Pride. The ceremony will take place on the City Hall
concourse, 93 Highland Ave. Mayor Curtatone, City LGBTQ Community
Liaison Andra Oshinsky, and a representative from GSA will speak at the
event. The event is open to the public, and we invite community members
to join us in celebrating LGBTQ youth and the diversity that makes
