Temporary Water Shutoff for Maintenance Fri. 7/3 Near Magoun Sq.

On Fri., July 3, beginning at 9 a.m., the City's Water Division will temporarily interrupt water service for residents on Main St., Moreland St., Meacham St., Edgar Ave., Douglas Ave., Fremont St., and Upland Park in order to replace a broken valve. This interruption in service is expected to last approximately 6 hours, however may be completed sooner.

ArtBeat Festival 2015: Lineup & Traffic Detours for 7/17-18

The 2015 ArtBeat Festival will begin in Davis Square on Friday evening, July 17, from 6 to 10 p.m., and continue on Saturday, July 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Festival will feature over 15 bands, as well as dance performers, Butoh cheerleaders, hula-hoopers, food, kid-friendly activities, 80 craft vendors, and more.

Tour Historic Milk Row Cemetery on Thu. 7/9 and Sun. 7/19

Ever pass by the old cemetery on Somerville Avenue next to the Market Basket parking lot and wonder, "Who is buried there? What's the story behind this place?" Milk Row Cemetery dates back to 1804 and due to its fragile condition it's often closed to the public, but it will be open twice in July for its regular seasonal openings.
