GLX Bridge Work Jan. 19 - Ball Sq.

Beginning in January 2015, necessary repair work will begin
at rail bridges throughout the City to make way for the impending Green Line
Extension project (GLX), which will bring six new rail stops to Somerville.

Residential Shoveling Time Extended to Noon Fri.

As the City and our constituents continue to clean up from this week's historic snowfall, Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone announced today that he has extended the deadline for residents to shovel sidewalks until noon on Friday. Please note that this extension only applies to residential properties. Commercial properties' sidewalks must be cleaned by noon today (Thursday).

Please note that snow is also forecasted for Friday. If snow starts falling before noon tomorrow normal shoveling regulations go into effect, meaning:

Cars, Parking Spots Must Be Shoveled by 6pm Thur. 2/5

In accordance with the City of Somerville’s snow removal policies and the City’s traffic regulations, residents are reminded that residential permit parking stickers must be clearly visible as of 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, and that cars and parking spaces on public streets must be shoveled out by Thursday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m.
