Powder House Boulevard and Alewife Brook Parkway Intersection Redesign Community Meeting, February 1, 2023

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and Ward 7 Councilor Judy Pineda Neufeld invite you to a virtual community meeting to learn about the City’s reconstruction of the intersection at Powder House Boulevard and Alewife Brook Parkway. 

City contractors will reconstruct the existing traffic circle to create a T-shaped intersection with traffic signals. Construction will begin this winter and is expected to continue through the fall of 2024.

Somerville Hosting MLK Day of Service Youth Workshop and Community Clothing Drive

Join Somerville’s Department of Racial and Social Justice to Honor the Legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Through Acts of Service

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne is pleased to announce that Somerville’s Department of Racial and Social Justice (RSJ) will host a MLK Day of Service Youth Workshop on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Dojo at SomerNova (15 Properzi Way). The workshop is in partnership with the Somerville Human Rights Commission, The Somerville Center for Teen Empowerment, The Dojo at SomerNova, and the Somerville Education Foundation.
