Repairs to Somerville City Hall Clock Tower and Roof Begin Saturday, November, 2

At the direction of Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, the City’s Capital Projects Division is leading efforts to repair Somerville City Hall’s clock tower and install a new slate roof as well as new rubber roofing around the clock tower. These repairs will help protect the structure and architectural details of the City’s history city hall (originally construction in 1852).  

Construction will be carried out in two phases by the City’s contractor. The first phase, the clock tower repair, is expected to begin on Saturday, November 2.

When? Wednesday, November 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. 
Where? Mystic Activity Center (530 Mystic Avenue).

New Prices to Take Effect by January 2025 Billing Cycle

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the Somerville Office of Sustainability are announcing the renewal of the Somerville Community Choice Electricity (Somerville CCE) program, with new, stable prices from December 2024 through January 2028.
