Rhode Island Man Arrested for Armed Somerville Bank Robbery

A Rhode Island man was arrested and charged today in federal court in Boston in connection with an armed bank robbery in Somerville on May 1, 2019, that resulted in shots fired.  Daniel Rosado, 32, of Providence, R.I., was charged with one count of armed bank robbery, one count of brandishing and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence, and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Reminder: Medford St. Bridge Closes 5/17 Through Spring 2020 for GLX Work

As part of the Green Line Extension project, the Medford St. bridge, behind Somerville High School, will close to all traffic starting Friday, May 17, at about 9 p.m. Crews will be onsite through about 2 a.m. Saturday setting up the closure. This bridge is expected to reopen in the spring of 2020.
