LOCATION
We're pulling out all the stops for the final concert of the season! There will be new music for violin & electronics depicting the personal lives of planets beyond our galaxy, a hilarious tabletop puppet show with a Scrooge-like character and a flying cow, and music for piano and strings by Johannes Brahms to inspire dreaming, drawing, writing, and dancing. We hope you will come and join us!
PROGRAM:
★ Prelude performances by the all-ages violin & viola class and the creative keyboard ensemble
★ Sonata No. 1 "X/O" for violin & electronic sounds by Kelley Polar ★ "Lyzer the Miser," a tabletop puppet show based on a story by Isaac Bashevis singer
★ Piano Quartet No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 25, by Johannes Brahms PERFORMERS: Marji Gere, violin; Gillian Gallagher, viola; Adrienne Taylor, cello; Dan Sedgwick, piano; Trudi Cohen & John Bell, puppetry; students from Around Hear music classes

This project is supported by a grant from the Somerville Arts Council, an agency of the Massachusetts Cultural Council. This program will also be performed at the Mystic for 3rd and 4th graders from the Healey School, and at Brady Towers and Properzi Manor, Somerville Housing Authority residences for seniors and people with disabilities.
