"Kaleidoscope: Queer Visions" is a queer community art initiative sponsored by the Mass Cultural Council, Somerville Local Cultural Commission, and the Boston Figurative Art Center.

“Kaleidoscope” is open from May 6-May 11 at the Boston Figurative Art Center at 285 Washington St, Somerville. Please visit https://www.bostonfac.com/kaleidoscope

"Kaleidoscope" is focused on asking and answering the questions, what does a queer, liberated, collective future look like? What does a queer timeline feel like? What are the moments you've missed as a queer person, that you would like to give yourself a version of? For those of us who have come into our queerness later in life, or perhaps those who are not yet, or may never be ready, to come out at all, there is a particular kind of grief to carry. “Kaleidoscope: Queer Visions” honors that grief, and presents a space to catalyze it into something new. "Kaleidoscope" extends an invitation to the members of the queer, creative community to set their imaginations free and imagine what they wish might have been, and in turn, create what might be. The target audience for this is anyone who identifies with the queer and LGBTQIA+ community, across generations and cultures, with a focus on highlighting the experiences of QTBIPOC people.

All allies are welcome + encouraged to dream with us!
