Ward-Based Meetings with Mayor Planned in October

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the Somerville City Council invite residents to attend the fall Community Meetings of 2022. After a hiatus during the pandemic, this twice-yearly meeting series, formerly known as the ResiStat program, will return to each of Somerville’s seven wards to share the latest City progress and neighborhood updates with residents, while also providing an opportunity for residents, elected officials, and City staff to talk with one another.

These Community Meetings are a great way to get a clear overview of what’s happening in your neighborhood, find ways to get involved, and ask questions about issues that are important to you. All meetings will be held in a hybrid format. An additional, all-ward meeting presented in Spanish will take place on Tuesday, October 18. For those joining in person, a social half-hour before and after the meetings will provide an opportunity for one-on-one chats. Pizza and kid-friendly, healthy snacks will also be served.

Interpretation into Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Kreyol, Nepali, Mandarin, Cantonese, or other languages may be available upon advance request by contacting the SomerViva Office of Immigrant Affairs at somerviva@somervillema.gov or calling 311 at 617-666-3311. Interpretation availability is also being advertised in the languages mentioned. Fall 2022 Community Meeting Schedule Meetings run from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with refreshments served at 6 p.m. Unsure about which ward you live in?
