Union Square Plaza & Streetscape Redesign Public Meeting, March 21
Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, Ward 2 City Councilor J.T. Scott, Ward 3 City Councilor Ben Ewen-Campen, and the Union Square Community Design Team invite you to a virtual public meeting for updates on the Union Square Plaza and Streetscape Redesign project.
This transformative public space and infrastructure project will reimagine the Union Square plaza and adjoining streetscapes to better serve the community. The Community Design Team has been leading a research and engagement process and has collected feedback from thousands of stakeholders to date.
At this meeting, staff will present two designs for Union Square’s public spaces, which were informed by community input and the Union Square Neighborhood Plan. The presentation will also be posted on the project website after the meeting, along with additional opportunities to share feedback.
The meeting will take place virtually on Monday, March 21, at 6:30 p.m. To learn more and register to attend, visit somervillema.gov/UnionSqRedesign.
