Tufts to Hold Emergency Training Excercise Mon. 6/15

On Monday, June 15th, the university along with Somerville, Medford, and State public safety teams, will conduct a routine emergency preparedness training exercise. Starting at 7 a.m. police vehicles, ambulances, and fire engines will be deployed on and near campus. All activities will be simulated. They are not a response to an actual emergency. Emergency vehicles taking part in the training will not use lights or sirens when moving about, but may use them within the restricted exercise area. The exercise is scheduled to end at noon, but emergency vehicles will be on campus into the afternoon while participants review the exercise. The exercise will be similar to an exercise held 2 years ago. Activities will require that Professors Row be closed from College Avenue to Packard Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Tisch Library will be closed until 2 p.m. For more information visit emergency.tufts.edu
