Statement on Saturday Protests from Mayor Curtatone

No one wants to see another Charlottesville, which is why our officers were requested in Boston to help protect public safety at Saturday's protests. If any officer conduct is found to have violated that mission, it will be dealt with appropriately.

We take allegations of police misconduct very seriously and rigorously review all complaints. Information continues to come in and inform my initial understanding of events at the protests. To gain full clarity, I've ordered a full report from SPD, and will share the results. To inform that report, anyone with relevant information should contact SPD or file an official police complaint.
