Spring Hill Sewer Separation Community Meeting Feb. 3

Join the Somerville Engineering Department, Ward 3 Councilor Ben Ewen-Campen, and Ward 5 Councilor Mark Niedergang on Monday, February 3, for a community meeting to discuss upcoming sewer and roadway infrastructure upgrades planned in the Spring Hill area. The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Somerville High School cafeteria, 81 Highland Ave.

The Spring Hill Sewer Separation project is one of a series of projects that the City of Somerville is exploring to mitigate flooding, reduce waterway pollution, and upgrade infrastructure throughout Somerville. It will ultimately include: installation of new storm drains to separate stormwater flow from the existing combined sewers, upgrades of existing storm drains, installation of green stormwater infrastructure and improvements to the tree canopy, streetscape improvements, and street design that will consider the needs of pedestrians, cyclists, transit riders, and motorists through a public process.
