SOMERVILLE SPRING CLEANUP SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 28th

SOMERVILLE – Please join Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone for the annual Somerville Spring Clean-Up on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 10:00am- noon at locations throughout the city. The annual cleanup is sponsored by Comcast. A rain date has been set for Sunday, April 29^th. Volunteers should meet a ward captain at 10:00am at the following locations:

Participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt, light snack, and a Mayor's Fitness Challenge Buck. This is also an opportunity for Mayor's Fitness Challenge participants to earn an extra point toward  their individual and team total.

Following the Clean-Up, all participants are invited to attend a community BBQ, which will be held at the Blessing of the Bay Boat House on Shore Drive from noon-2:00pm. The City of
Somerville is currently accepting donations for the event, including cleaning supplies, rakes, gloves and garbage bags.  For more information about participating in the Clean-Up or making a donation, please contact
