Somerville Prevention Services Hosting Webinars For Community To Learn More About Problem Gambling

Free Webinars Will Be Held in English on April 27 and in Chinese on May 4

The City’s Prevention Services division, in partnership with the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC), invites the community to learn more about gambling, signs of problem gambling, how to prevent it, and treatment resources. The National Council on Problem Gambling estimates that two million adults in the U.S. meet the criteria for gambling disorder, with another four to six million people in the U.S. struggling with problem gambling. 

The Zoom webinars, which will be hosted in English and Chinese, are free to join and will also be recorded and subsequently uploaded on the City’s YouTube page: youtube.com/SomervilleCityTV.

  • Mandarin Chinese: May 4th, 6 - 7 p.m: bit.ly/problemgambling23
