Somerville Citizenship Day Offering Free Legal Assistance to Those Seeking U.S. Citizenship

Legal Help for Green Card Holders Applying for U.S. Citizenship Will Be Available December 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Somerville Office of Immigrant Affairs and Project Citizenship will host Somerville Citizenship Day on Saturday, December 3, at St. Anthony’s Church, located at 12 Properzi Way, Somerville, MA. Free food will be provided. 

Staff from Project Citizenship will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to provide free legal help for green card holders looking to apply for U.S. citizenship. Somerville residency is not required to attend. 

Volunteers are needed to help support Project Citizenship staff the day of the event. Potential volunteer duties include application assistance, interpretation, childcare, check-in, and application quality control. Volunteers must be proficient in English.
