Public Hearing on Draft Somerville Armory Master Plan, Dec. 10

All interested community members are invited to attend and speak at a virtual Public Hearing before the Somerville City Council’s Finance Committee on Tuesday, December 10, at 6 p.m. online via Zoom. The meeting agenda and link to join are posted at somervillema.legistar.com

The draft plan proposes plans for how to best preserve and envision a future for the Armory building, located at 191 Highland Ave., as a thriving community arts center for years to come. Community members will have two opportunities to provide input on the draft plan developed via community process. 

Community members can participate in the public hearing and/or comment on the draft plan on the City's SomerVoice website at https://voice.somervillema.gov/. Comments via SomerVoice will be accepted through Monday, January 6. To learn more about the draft plan and provide comments, please visit voice.somervillema.gov/armory-master-plan

To participate in the Public Hearing online, there are two ways to comment to the City Council:

  1. Join the Public Hearing online: To attend and be heard, follow the link below to register for the meeting. After registering, you will receive an email with instructions to join the webinar when it starts.

  1. Persons unable to attend the hearing may provide comments by email to the City Council at publiccomments@somervillema.gov or by dropping them off at the City Clerk’s Office at 93 Highland Ave. Comments must be received no later than 12 Noon the day of the Hearing to ensure they are conveyed to the Committee for inclusion with the hearing testimony. Note that the City Council always accepts comments at this address, but we cannot guarantee that comments received after the deadline will be read prior to the hearing
