MWRA Water Utility Maintenance Work Near the Walnut Street Bridge

Due to work beginning 12/4, some residents may experience temporary water discoloration.

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) plans to undertake critical water utility repairs at the Walnut Street bridge in Somerville beginning this Wednesday, December 4.

This work has been planned to coincide with the temporary shutdown of the MBTA Green Line (mbta.com/greenline).

While no water service interruptions are expected as part of this work, some residents may experience temporary water discoloration at the onset of work.  Any residents who experience water discoloration are advised to run their cold water for approximately ten minutes to restore typical levels of clarity.
