Information Session and Public Hearing on FY 2024 Water and Sewer Rates, May 15

The City of Somerville will hold an information session and public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2024 water and sewer rates on Monday, May 15. The information session will start at 6 p.m. and the public hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Anyone who would like to testify is welcome to attend and will be heard. Additional Q&A time will be offered following the hearing if attendees have remaining topics of discussion.

Written testimony will also be accepted until 6 p.m. on Monday, May 22. Written testimony can be emailed to water@somervillema.gov or mailed to: Water and Sewer Department, ATTN: Hearing, 17 Franey Rd., Somerville, MA 02145.  

The information session and hearing will take place at the Central Library auditorium, 79 Highland Ave. Attendees can participate in person or remotely via Zoom or phone. To participate remotely, visit somervillema.gov/fy24rates for the meeting link and call-in information, or contact 311. The information session and public hearing will be recorded and rebroadcast on GovTV (channel 13 on RCN, channel 22 on Comcast) and on the City’s YouTube channel, youtube.com/SomervilleCityTV
 
The proposed rates will be submitted to the City Council during its meeting on Thursday, May 11, and can be viewed online at somervillema.gov/fy24rates.
