Holiday Gift Drive Donation Boxes at Somerville City Buildings through Sunday, Dec. 18

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne is announcing the City’s annual support of local holiday gift and toy donation drives. In the giving spirit of the season, Somerville is placing toy and gift donation boxes at City buildings through Sunday, December 18, to support two community toy drives for families in need of gifts for children and teens this holiday season.  

If you are able and wish to donate, please bring unwrapped toys and gifts for children of all ages and age-appropriate gifts for teens. All will be distributed to families by two local organizations: Toys for Local Children and the MAMA’s Mutual Aid Medford and Somerville.  More information on their gift drives can be found at mutualaidmamas.com and toysforlocalchildren.org.  

Gift and Toy Donation Boxes are available at these City locations through December 18: 

  • City Hall, 93 Highland Avenue, 2nd floor  
  • Somerville Central Library, 79 Highland Avenue 
  • Somerville West Branch Library, 40 College Avenue 
  • Somerville East Library, 115 Broadway 
  • City Hall Annex, 50 Evergreen Street 
  • DPW Building, One Franey Road 
  • Council on Aging Offices, 167 Holland Street 
  • Somerville Police Headquarters lobby, 220 Washington Street
