FAIR HOUSING COMMISSION ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF YOUTH POSTER CONTEST
Annual school-based competition asks youth to explain importance of fair housing; Five winners honored by Mayor, Commissioners.
SOMERVILLE – Following a citywide competition, five Somerville youth were honored for their submission to the Fair Housing Commission’s annual Fair Housing Poster Contest last month. The contest challenges students to illustrate their interpretations of fair housing policies as part of an inclusive, equal opportunity community.
The 2014 contest winners are:
- 3rd grade: Riley Williams (West Somerville Neighborhood School), Ashpreet Kaur (West Somerville), and Catherine Santos (Winter Hill Community School)
- 5th grade: Kimberly Perez (Winter Hill), Cole Lafee (Winter Hill), and Era Haxhimali (Winter Hill)
