City Veterans' Services Calls for Messages, Photos, Drawings to Honor Memorial Day

The City of Somerville Department of Veterans’ Services invites all community members and especially local Veterans and family and friends of Veterans to submit messages to honor Memorial Day.  

All who are interested are encouraged to submit short video messages, photos of drawings (kids are encouraged to participate too!), or written messages to share what Memorial Day means to them or a message for troops deployed overseas. Short videos should be about 10 to 15 seconds long. Submissions will be compiled into a larger video to mark Memorial Day.  

Messages in any form should be submitted by Friday, April 30. They can be emailed to Ted Louis-Jacques, Director of Veterans’ Services, at tjacques@somervillema.gov or texted to him at 617-404-5290.
