SUSPECTS CAPTURED AFTER ATTEMPTED BANK ROBBERY

Robbery suspect Edwin O'Grady

SOMERVILLE - On Thursday, September 25, 2014, at approximately 10:55 a.m., two suspects were taken into custody by the Somerville Police at the Rockland Trust Bank located at 399 Highland Avenue in Somerville after an attempted robbery.

One suspect has been identified as Edwin O'Grady, 55, of New Boston, New Hampshire. This suspect was transported to the Somerville Police Department where he was booked on the charge of Attempt to Commit a Crime of Armed Robbery. O'Grady will be arraigned Friday in Somerville District Court. The identity of the second suspect is still under investigation.

Somerville Chief of Police David Fallon noted that this investigation was brought to a quick solution in cooperation with the Massachusetts State Police and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force.
