Applications Now Being Accepted for Nine Inclusionary Rental Units in Somerville

One Income-Restricted Rental Unit at 29 Chandler Street, and Eight Income-Restricted Rental Units 7-9 Central Street Are Currently Accepting Applications for New Residents

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the City of Somerville Housing Division, in partnership with LaCourt Orphanage Trust, LLC and 7-9 Central Street, LLC, are pleased to announce nine (9) new income-restricted rental units are now accepting applications for new residents.

Ennea at 7-9 Central Street
Ennea is conveniently located in the heart of the Spring Hill neighborhood of Somerville, and is a LEED Platinum, energy-efficient building. 

These units will be offered to households with a tier R1 yearly gross income at or below 50% Area Median Income (AMI), between 51%-80% AMI at price tier R2 or between 81%-110% AMI. See income limit chart at the bottom of this announcement.*

How to Apply: All applications are due by October 18, 2023 at 5 p.m. Applications and full eligibility requirements are available at somervillema.gov/inclusionaryhousing as well as at EnneaLottery.com. Paper applications are available at Somerville City Hall (93 Highland Ave.), the City Hall Annex (50 Evergreen Ave.), and the Somerville Public Library East and Central branches.

29 Chandler Street
29 Chandler St. is a two-story unit that is part of a three-unit property in the Davis Square neighborhood. Unit 3 is a two-bedroom and tenants are responsible for all utilities except water and sewer. It includes granite countertops, hardwood floors, shared on-site coin-op laundry, and a shared outdoor patio. This property may accept pets on a case-by-case basis (weight and breed restrictions apply). The apartment will be offered to households with yearly gross incomes within the Tier R3 (110% AMI) income range.

How to Apply: All applications are due on November 9, 2023 by 2 p.m. Applications can be submitted via emailing inclusionary@somervillema.gov or faxing 617-591-3235. Paper applications can be dropped off in an envelope in the black mailbox outside the front door of the City Hall Annex or with Inclusionary Staff/the Administrative Assistant for OHS/Housing in City Hall Annex at 50 Evergreen Ave; or mailed to the Housing Division located at 50 Evergreen Ave., Somerville, MA 02145. If you are mailing an application, allow at least one (1) week in the mail to ensure the application is received before the deadline.
