Due to predictions of heavy snow, tonight's meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, January 23. The meeting will still be held in the West Somerville Neighborhood School at 6:30 p.m.

Informational Sessions on
2014 Property Assessments and the Appeals Process for Commercial and
Residential Properties

The City of Somerville and the Somerville Chamber of Commerce invite both commercial and residential property owners to two info sessions on
2014 property assessments on Tues., Jan. 21, and Mon., Jan. 27. The City
Assessors office will briefly present an overview of how assessments are
conducted, explain the triennial revaluation process required by the state and
conducted for 2014, and also provide details on the appeals process, which is
open to all with a deadline to apply by Feb. 3, 2014. A question and answer
session will follow. The meetings will each include the same information; two
dates are being offered to increase the convenience of attendance. The first
meeting will also be available to watch via YouTube at
http://www.youtube.com/user/SomervilleCityTV
starting late Wed., Jan. 22, and also on City Cable TV (channel 22 on Comcast
and channel 13 on RCN).

 

  • Info Session 1: Tuesday, Jan. 21,
    6:30 p.m., at the West Somerville Neighborhood School cafeteria, 177
    Powderhouse Blvd.
  • Info Session 2: Monday, Jan. 27, 6:30 p.m., at the
    East Somerville Community School cafeteria, 50 Cross St.
