Have you always wanted to learn how to knit or are you a knitter looking to find other friends who knit? Look no further than Knitting with Natasha. Join a supportive and fun group as we learn more about knitting while knitting together!

Special Program (Frederick Douglass Reading and Black Out poetry)

Community members are invited to a special program at 5:30 p.m. at Premiere on Broadway (519 Broadway) that will include a reading of Frederick Douglass famous address and Black Out poetry led by Christian Walkes.

Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration

Join the City of Somerville for our annual Fireworks celebration with live entertainment. Enjoy an evening of music, community, food vendors, and fireworks!

General Exercise - Holland Street (Council on Aging)

Add some movement to your day! General Exercise is a chair-based fitness class with supported standing strength training and balance. We use a play ball, weights and resistance band to work on functional movement patterns. Enjoy moving to music while doing easy-to-follow cardio, mobility, strengthening and stretching exercises. 

Nutrition at Holland Street (Council on Aging)

Every day foods can be challenging to make if you don’t know What to eat and how to balance it all. We can learn by focusing by incorporating all the food groups into our diets, so that we get what is needed for our daily balance to nourish our bodies.

Connect with friends new and old while spending time out in nature. This group walks at a moderate pace and is a great way to add movement to your day. Explore nature trails and the streets of Somerville for an enjoyable journey!

Coffee & Conversation Holland Street (Council on Aging)

Join us for this staff-led discussion group which covers a range of topics thought up by participants. This is a friendly group, where all topics are discussed respectfully.

This is a chair-based workout with the option to use light handheld weights and do supported standing strength and balance activities.
